There a decent amount of videos of people playing it on steam deck and it looks about the same as it would play on ps4 just on medium to low settings

Watch Skillup's review. He shows a way to get a stable 45fps on the steam deck

I would not put much stock in SKillup's review - his steam deck footage looks absolutely atrocious, because he was using dynamic resolution and left FSR 2.0 off. Its actually insane much better spiderman on steam deck looks in some other peoples footage who set it up properly. And FSR can get you to the same 45 FPS stable.

there are so many people so salty about the steam deck and consistently say that a game isnt gonna run on it or will only hit 30 fps only for the steam deck to consistently hit it out of the park over and over lmao...

It actually hurts some console kiddies souls especially badly to see their once precious exclusives run on a handheld PC that has power on par with their console. lol

I always find it odd, just in general, when people have these odd little conflicts over FPS and what looks better on what. While I like having a PC that can run things well and with ray tracing, my ultimate desire is just to play fun games that look decent. I think the Deck does that, so I'm happy. My cousin was able to enjoy some God of War and was blown away by how it looked, so I suppose it's easier to please some than others. Meh. Such is life.

nah its running over 30 easily if you tweak it right

thats what happens when you spend hundreds, buying into gimmicks.........you then spend your time defending them even though everyone knows the truth, he probably has VR too

I'm playing Shadow of War on my deck at 60fps. The lower resolution screen and fsr really helps.

Regardless, I'll be playing this game 90% on my 3080ti, the other 10 will be on the deck doing side missions.

Shadow of War was one of the first games I tried, just to see how far I could push the thing. I was genuinely impressed. I tried Red Dead Redemption 2 the other day and didn't think it would work as well as it did.

it actually blows my mind how many people are so butt hurt about the Steam Deck. Especially PC gamers. The fact that they can't see how bad-ass the system is just kind of makes me cringe. It is a hand-held PC that is on par with a ps4 in performance. It has an already incredible thriving emulator scene just using emu deck gets you every emulator under the sun including ps2/ wii /wiiu/ switch and the ability to play literal AAA games on the go at 60 fps if you want or at a more reasonable 40Hz and get more battery life.

Have you weirdos even looked at games side by side with the switch just as an example? Take a look at what the witcher 3 looks like running on the switch - then look at it running on the deck...... It is literally staggering how good the deck looks and runs.

not only that, its shining a great light on Linux and making gaming on Linux better.

I donno, in my mind I see the typical "pc gamer" the people who are interested in cool hardware as well as the ability to tinker and learn cool new ways to game and do stuff that isn't a locked down system like a console... but instead you just have a ton of closed minded morons who look at it and are like uhhh its not as powerful as a 3080, its pathetic. smh

The steam deck has a freaking ryzen 2 4 core 8 thread CPU and RDNA2 graphics along with DDR5. The thing is an absolute beast and so damn cool for hardware nerds.. What they have been able to pack into the thing is incredible... Then you've got the touch screen, haptics, FULL size analog sticks, 2x extra L and R buttons on the back... Full bluetooth support out of the box, A FULL Linux desktop underneath to do ANY tinkering you could ever want.

I've been a PC gamer for 30 years, I hate console gaming and controllers, but I love the Steam Deck. The performance is incredible, and after 8-12 hours working on a computer, it's amazing to just kick back and play anything on my Deck anywhere in the house. I've been playing games I didn't even know I had in my library.

People who ♥♥♥♥ on the Steam Deck, have no idea what they're on about.
