Unlocking the Skill Tree

How long does it take to unlock the skills? I have about 20 skill points and past the stage with Scorpion. I have collected 50 backpacks and almost completed all landmarks. However when I go to the Skill tree, everything is still locked for me. I feel like I must have missed something.

I think lvl 50 is the max so I believe if you are lvl 50 you should be able to unlock all the abilities

You can just unlock the abilities at the top

Bro, you have to unlock the skills one at a time......

You buy them with the points, they don't just apply automatically.

The only way you can unlock more skills is by using your skill points and picking up the skills that are not locked. These in turn will unlock the next skill down the line which once purchased will unlock the next skill. So on and so forth.

Somewhere between lvl 48-50 (cap) is where you should have maxed skills. Just have to keep doing all the side stuff for extra experience plus there is a suit ability that helps increase XP gain when equipped.

Thanks! I'll double check because when I last looked at the Skill tree, every single one was locked for me including the top ones. Pressing any face button on my gamepad wouldn't unlock even the top skills.

You have to hold the button. A simple click doesn't unlock a thing.

I'm having the same exact problem. The Innovator skill tree and the defender trees are completely locked, i cant unlock the first two at all

For the skill tree i recommend you prioritize the one that allow you perform 2 finisher in the row and instant takedown after dodging a bullet. it really help you in a fight

It did for me, unsure which mod it was though. I'd progressed far enough into the story and had lots of skill points and all the trees were greyed out. Turned off all my mods, and hey presto, I could purchase skills.
