I have tried myself and seen a huge improvement, now the CPU is actually being used and the game runs at a much higher framerate.
I can now have RT on without having framerate drops due to low CPU usage (bottlenecking).
how do i do this
You need to enter your BIOS menu, and on advanced settings for CPU you should see the option to disable it.
Google how you can enter your BIOS menu, usually you need to press DEL or F2 key when PC is booting up.
yeah im on 10700k. did you get a big difference from it FPS wise?
From 60-70 fps to 100+ fps.
Thanks for getting back to me, is this something I can disable per game in the nvidia control panel? I don't fancy changing this option per game. Any word on the developer being aware of this issue that they may fix it in an update.
I checked this already and it doesn't seem to be the case, thanks for the reply though appreciate the help.
No. You need to restart your computer every time you change it through any method. Hyperthreading is a CPU function, not GPU, so Nvidia control panel has nothing for it.
Which means the potential of typical laptop issue of incorrect GPU being used.
Have you checked Windows Powerplan and Nvidia Control panel power settings ?
How do people not remember which CPU SKUs have SMT enabled ? :3 (jk)
Intel has a very nice DB for their CPUs fyi:

Also, laptops/aio tend to have pretty lackluster BIOSes.
It’s not 2005 anymore, even I3s have HT these days 🤣

Ill probably have to wait on an update i just hope it isnt too long. I might test it on the 2080ti on the PC see how it fares I know the laptops capable though thats why its giving me the big sad haha. cheers lads
Either you need to do a wipe of your drivers or reinstall your OS, having 5 frames is a sign of issues on your system.
Make sure to update your chipset drivers as well.
I have no issues on any other game I play though, surely the issue would be apparent across more than just this game ?
Hum...true.
Do you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed?
