Strange bug on gadget tutorial

When I went to the incinerator for the main quest and received the web bomb gadget, I ran into a weird bug. After you go through the spidey drive and find the schematic, unlocking the gadget, you are then attacked by a group of thugs and given a tutorial on how to use the web bomb on said thugs. After the short cutscene, I regained control of Spider Man and the tutorial prompted me to open the gadget menu. When I held R1, however, the gadget menu did not appear. This meant that I could not select web bomb, which essentially soft-locked me in that slowed-time tutorial moment. Thankfully, restarting from the last checkpoint skipped the tutorial and allowed me to continue.

I think it had something to do with the slowed-time element of the tutorial. As I was trying and failing to bring up the gadget wheel, I noticed that other HUD elements, namely the mini-map and quest description, were missing. After about 15 seconds, they came in, but sluggishly, frame-by-frame, as if they were being restricted by the slowed-time event. I thought if I held the gadget wheel button (R1 for me) long enough, the wheel would come in frame-by-frame like those other two HUD elements did, but after holding R1 for a minute I gave up on that idea.

Hopefully this helps to quash whatever bug this is. The game is spectacular and runs pretty well for how big it is, so kudos to the port team and kudos to Sony for finally giving us PC gamers their exclusives.

i just when in and out and it finally loaded and was able to shoot, there are some really weird cutscene bugs but otherwise pretty stable game

Just got this bug as well.

EDIT: Used Restart Last Checkpoint and it's just when the bandits arrive and it worked this time.

I've had the same issue... Though, I arrived at the construction site, I'm sat on a beam, I make the first gadget, try to open the gadget wheel and it doesn't open and the game freezes. Idle animations are still running, sounds too, but no buttons do anything. I can't reload last save or checkpoint or anything because I can't open the menu and I think I've got to wipe my entire save data just to get the game playable again. Any ideas? I'm all out besides a save file wipe.
