UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS

As the title says, Update your drivers, Nvidia/AMD, and ANYTHING else that is out of date (including O/S firmware updates). Forgetting to update is always a cause of crashes. I just played Spider-man Remastered for 2 hours, NO ISSUES at all. Of course I ALWAYS update everything on my pc.

That is true, there is a game ready driver out for Nvidia cards out. However, there are at least 2 patches that we don't have yet that were issued to reviewers.

Why people don't know this, also, Auto download of drivers is KEY.

Guru3D is just as good. GFE told me to install a driver and it totally borked my system, I never used it after that and have never needed to.

current bugs I'm experiencing, Spidey suit Won't come off in Aunt May's shelter, Pete's head floats in mid-air only to have him go completely invisible until I quit the game and reload a save game. Yeah, Sony could PATCH this game already. LOL.

I didn't update my driver and other than the message box popping up to tell me my driver was out of date I had no issues. I haven't had any of the bugs you mentioned here.

those patches were included in the preload. nixxes has already said this, stop spreading misinformation.

It's academic now anyway, Nixxes issued a patch today and more are coming.

These posts are not useful to the community nor the devs. Just because your PC is working fine, doesn't mean everyone else is.

Note a PC is not a console, a console has the same hardware and configuration across the board. This is why console games are easier, the hardware and configuration is known, so only the game needs to be concentrated on by the developers.

PCs on the other hand vary greatly from inexpensive to super computers, so many different configurations that its impossible to list all the possible configurations. I assume the devs will test these out on thier own differing systems, but it would be impossible to try out the game on every possible hardware/driver/software mix. So some computers, like yours, will be fine. Others though will have issues because they havent been tested.

This is why these posts are here to advise the devs that this is an issue and I have this configuration. They can then look to fix the problems.

What if the driver is the cause of the issues!? The 516.94 driver came out on the 9 and the game came out on the 12. What testing did Nixxes do with this driver before release!?

Reviewers can't have been using 516.94. Maybe we should install an older driver and see what it does. There's little point in a 'game ready driver' if you don't have a driver ready game!

You got it to work with Ray-tracing enabled?

i encountered the camera bug. restarted the game and it worked again.

Updating your driver wont fix the random performance tank when played with RT on after 2+ hour. Same goes to the random bug/glitches.
