Ray Tracing = Crashing (RTX 2080 TI )
Ray Tracing = Crashing (RTX 2080 TI )

I can play the game on the highest settings
But if I enable Ray Tracing at even the lowest settings the game instantly crashes.

Patch it - Fix it

With my 2080ti it works flawless even with RT cranked up.

Rtx 2080 ti does work but for ray tracing I heard that the 3000 series are more ray tracing friendly for that. For example skill up a youtuber gets more fps with a 3070 than a 2080 ti using ray tracing with fewer crashes. So who knows.

Nice... What's your complete PC settings?
CPU? RAM? Operating System? Resolution/monitor? G-sync?

9900k/32GB/Win10/1600p Ultrawide/G-Sync compatible

Gpu is oc'd to ~3080 performance though. But I don't think that's why it works for me.

Whatever the reason, Enjoy it...
As for the rest of us across multiple different GPUs
It's not working... But you know how PC gaming is, for some of us things work, for some of us it does not work...

I remember I've had really low end gaming PCs and it would work amazing for some games, where other dudes with Top Elite Gaming Rigs constantly crashed...

It's the Way of PC Gaming... Things have gotten better over the years... Much better...

Optimization has gotten better over the years...
I remember when a Console Port came to PC, you had to literally prepare yourself mentally for countless hours of troubleshooting... It was the norm then...

At least with this game, I can still play it if simply turn Ray Tracing OFF...

A 2080Ti cannot be overclocked to 3080 levels of performance and especially not with ray-tracing enabled. lol

Just out of Curiosity...
Did you preload the game? Or just downloaded it after release?

It can, I oced mine +200 on core and +1500 on memory and in benchmarks and in games I even sometimes exceede a stock 3080 ;) The 2080ti is a beast in OC, blowing every 3070 out of the water with ease.

I haven't had any crashes, but I can't necessarily crank RT all the way up. I have a 10700K/3070Ti @ 4K. I kept both RT settings at High not Very High, but maxed every other setting with DLSS on Balanced. More or less hovers around 60 FPS with drops in the upper 50s here and there.

Pretty demanding game if you ask me. Putting both RT settings at Very High, even with DLSS at Balanced and performance was 30 to 60 FPS, mostly in the 40s, I think. Though, I will admit that the gameplay looked very smooth, even if it wasn't at a constant 60FPS. But I would rather adjust the settings so they are at 60 all, or most, of the time.

2080 ti @ 3440x1440 RT no problem DLSS enabled. FPS locked at 60 FPS V-sync

That is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I want to see your 3DMark scores, or other proof, if you have it. I have an EVGA 3070 Ti FTW3 Ultra, that I overclocked pretty high as well. It definitely performs much better than a stock 3070 Ti, but not at 3080 levels. And definitely not exceeding them.

There is no way you can get 3080 levels with a 2080 ti.
