Solutions for mods

if u cant use mods or overstrike crashes then go to steam library>select spiderman> press settings> properties > Betas > Rollback to previous version

till the dev updates overstrike we cant play with mods on newer version


Edit, here's the fix posted by the dev on nexusmods for fsr3 update

If the game updates, your 'toc.BAK' needs to be updated or it will cause problems/crashes. Do a "toc reset":
1) delete 'toc' and 'toc.BAK' from game's folder;
2) verify game files through Steam or EGS — that will download fresh 'toc';
3) install mods as usual — that'll copy fresh 'toc' into 'toc.BAK'.

If the game didn't update, but you see LAUNCHER_PLAY, "toc reset" should help too. This usually happens if you used other tools that tinkered with 'toc' outside of Overstrike.

If your game just crashes when you install new .suits and works when you uninstall them, this is likely a "suits limit". This means your save files are corrupted and the game won't run with new .suits unless you replace those files with fresh ones. Either that or no new .suits, no other workaround currently.

edit: reapplied the mods with SMPCTool, my preferred spiderman is back! hearing that overstrike may not work atm if you use that so be aware!

hopefully we can have a permanent fix but for now rolling back got my my spider gwen game back (dont like games without an option to be a girl)

Yeah I'll update the post soon, I wanna try fsr 3 aswell but can't give up on suit mods they are the best things!!!

updated the post, i just tried the new fix and it worked for me

Eh I just rollbacked, and reinstalled and it worked. I'll do this next update, because ANY time this game gets update, for whatever reason, it seems to make the mods not work.
