Need to link PSN account?

I seen the Helldivers II controversy and wanted to know if Sony is requiring a PSN account for this game or any other Playstation ports? It will definitely impact the games I decide to purchase in the future (been looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima)

Probably because this is a single player game that doesn't have any online components.

You dont have to make one for this game. The only reason would would want to is to get a suit thats locked behind the psn login. Which is weird with the Helldivers 2 game no other Ps game on steam needs you to make a psn account to play.
