To unlock new points on the map for Fast Travel, you’ll need to keep playing. Some key locations—like the F.E.A.S.T headquarters and even Parker’s apartment are a few key areas you can fast travel to, just to name a few. Still, though, don’t rely too much on the Fast Travel system. Not only do you miss out on a lot of different things throughout the city—things like crime events, which can give you Crime Tokens, but you’ll also find yourself getting complacent in combat. Which can lead to a lot of frustration as you take on more difficult enemies.
It did sort itself out eventually, though: the game just did a crappy job of making it clear that I was still inside a mission, I just assumed that "Crash on MJ's couch" was the first objective of the *next* mission, not the last objective of a *current* mission.
