Game crashing on start menu screen

Bought the game 2 days ago, sank 16hrs into it and only encountered 2 minor bugs. However the game started crashing just today and is unplayable at this point. The game was running smoothly for 16hrs before this and just verified all my files. Anyone has a solution for this? Thanks!!

Tried reinstalling the game and it works now.

Same for me. Cca 15 hours all good and then game start crashing for no reason. Just crash without error or something.

same, I keep freezing and having to force shut down my computer. This all started happening right after the City Hall Scene

same cant get past the menu screen I click on continue and it just crashes to desktop I just did city hall terrorist attack too.

Edit:
I Don't know if this helps anyone but i just started a new game went back to main menu reloaded the old game clicked continue and it worked I also verified my files and roll back then re updated the game through the beta tab in the games options.

Having the same issue, I'm requesting a refund from Insomniac, and if they punt to Steam I'm considering a charge-back. This is a defective product that doesn't work, and Steam denied my initial refund request because I sat idle for 3 hours in the menus while googling solutions.

Absolutely terrible product support :(
