steps:
Enable Gsync in control panel, check the box for full screen+ windowed mode
Enable Vsync in control panel
Set fps cap to 3 below max refresh
Vsync OFF in game
He's asking about Gsync, and you're supposed to disable Vsync in game with VRR.
VRR doesn't eliminate tearing completely. It's best to use Vsync on in game. If you ever have issues then try NVCP Vsync. I don't recommend using Vsync on in NVCP, can cause issues with some software. This is not enabled by default for Gsync for a long time because of that.
Screen tearing occurs because your fps and refresh aren't in sync. VRR syncs them, hense eliminating screen tearing. If you still get screen tearing with VRR, you've set it up wrong /it's not engaged.
I have never ever once in like 10 years ( since Gsync's inception) seen screen tearing with VRR... not once. ..... Seeing how that's impossible it also makes sense.
You're supposed to enable it in NVCP.
I listed the correct steps above. Anything else is simply wrong.
