Report a translation problem
There is no much else the developers could do.. the game use all the buttons on the controller already. L3+R3 and triangle + O are very comfortable to execute to me. I don't know what the problem is for you.
I know angry PC people are about to tell me about aiming with a mouse in first person shooters.. Whatever, mate.. I can aim with a controller just as well as you can with a mouse. I've been using controller for decades at this point.
I have actually heard of a custom control scheme where you use a Wii nunchuck to move and a mouse to aim/shoot, I can see that working, but that takes a lot of setup and doesn't always work with every game.
Well of course you can aim just as well with a controller the game literally plays for you with aim assist. Turn it off and see how good of a shot you are then.
