For a game relying so much on hitting two buttons at the same time...
... it sure is hard for it to recognise L3+R3 and Triangle+O.
Makes the Screwball ♥♥♥♥ even more annoying than it already is.
Especially in the Felicia DLC where they're extremely tight on points. Jesus Christ.
I'm using a PS5 controller, wired, no custom Steam input settings or anything.
I have to not be pressing anything else for the input to be accepted otherwise it only takes one. I.E. if I'm moving and try to activate Spidey power I'll get the radar, if I'm trying a takedown for points I'll get a dodge or a swing.
It has to be literally full neutral including sticks and this has been a problem for a while but it's only this godawful in challenges because generally you can get away with flubbing inputs elsewhere.

I haven't seen anyone having this problem before. I'm on my third playthrogh and I have absolutely zero issues performing those actions. I'm also using a wired PS5 controller.

There is no much else the developers could do.. the game use all the buttons on the controller already. L3+R3 and triangle + O are very comfortable to execute to me. I don't know what the problem is for you.

I saw another thread about this while searching around so it's not just me but I don't know what the deal is either. It's not gamebreaking like I said, but it's super annoying for the tight combat challenges.

The game is literally designed for controller. When the game was developed, there was absolutely no dreams of it ever coming to PC.

Also, if you have a Dualsense, knowing that the game accepts haptic and adaptative, it's much better to play on controller...

It's not just this game, ALL third person action games are 1000x better with a controller.

Not just third person action games.. ALL games except RTS and point and click adventure is better with a controller.

I know angry PC people are about to tell me about aiming with a mouse in first person shooters.. Whatever, mate.. I can aim with a controller just as well as you can with a mouse. I've been using controller for decades at this point.

For me it's using a keyboard to move. I just can't...it's ridiculously clunky and gives you digital movement. It's worse than an NES controller. I would rather have less precise aiming than to move with what amounts to a clunky d-pad.

I have actually heard of a custom control scheme where you use a Wii nunchuck to move and a mouse to aim/shoot, I can see that working, but that takes a lot of setup and doesn't always work with every game.

Well of course you can aim just as well with a controller the game literally plays for you with aim assist. Turn it off and see how good of a shot you are then.

This thread just turned into stupid elitism, I just want the bug fixed.
Jesus Christ.

Right, that is the main thing... if only they made analog keyboards... Movement on a keyboard is 0 or 100. It's so much nicer to move around with an analog stick.

What are you talking about? There is no bug whatsoever to be fixed. The thread is not about bug, it's about how comfortable you are with a controller x keyboard. There is zero bug regarding pressing both analog sticks, or two buttons at once or whatever.

I have actually had a few instances where hitting two buttons to do a combo doesn't work (that includes L3+R3 to activate suit power). But it doesn't happen all the time, it's inconsistent. Most of the time it works fine. They have had at least one patch trying to fix this. It is an occasional issue still.
