So far boring.
About a hour in and already bored to tears with it. Not understanding all the rave reviews.
Is it one of those slow starters were it starts getting good ??/20 hours in ?

Well you still have 1 hour to request a refund. The game may not appeal to everyone.

I'd say give it another couple hours, the beginning is a little slower and more linear. Soon you'll start getting all your different gadgets too.

Yeah same, reached 112 minutes and handed in my refund.

It wasn't superbad, but not a game I wanted to have shelled out 45€ for.
Might pick it up in a year or two when it drops to 25-30.

Im the opposite, I stopped right at the 119 min. mark (just by hunch/luck) and thought to myself...do i want to refund? Then I quickly dismissed the idea. Didnt have any performance issues but im using a higher end 120hz 75" 4K TV as my gaming monitor with built in VRR and HDR so the VRR could be helping. On my 3070TI I can boost graphics up to high with RTX on and still get a consistent 30 fps that looks great while flinging around NYC. If I turn off RTX and down things to medium on settings, I can get closer to 60 fps while in 4k HDR mode. Other than that, games been fun so I have 0 reason to refund. About to get ready for turkey day and play a little more this afternoon. Cheers.
Thanks for the blog post, What'd you have for breakfast?

i thought it was a solid 8/10. The only thing I didnt like about were the sneaking missions

Slightly further in the game it becomes monotonous. I should have refunded, but I continued to play and I enjoy it now. I feel like I am close to the end and finally find some enjoyment out of it. Story isn't AS predictable as it seems... GL

And it has New Game Plus (Also reffered to as NG+). So you can start a new game, but carry over all of your upgrades, skills and so on. And you can also up the difficulty level for more of a challenge. That's a feature that a lot of games have been getting. Spider-Man, God Of War, and Horizon Zero Dawn all eventually updated their games to have NG+ bc it was such a requested feature by fans. It adds a ton of replay-ability. One of the games that's well known for doing NG+ is Devil May Cry, my favorite series of games.
Loving the game! XD

Most of the game is good. Everything to do with the main story is great, and some of the side missions are good. But the "optional" content like the challenges are some of the worst designed things I have ever seen in a game. We're talking Ubisoft level here. It would literally make the game better to remove it. The worst one I can think of is the one that was a blatant ripoff of the Cloudburst from Arkham Knight.

I mean generally anything Sony or Marvel is overrated so this was a perfect storm

I mean, it's your typical AAA, aiming at as wide of a market as possible, polished to the shine, and playtested to be as friction free and possible. So far so good, as far as those kind of titles go.

try playing miles morales, literally kept falling asleep within the first 15 minutes of the game.

I dunno, I'm really digging it in the early going. As a Spider-man fan from an early age, it's really hitting all the right notes. Kind of a chore to play on keyboard/mouse though. I may end up installing it on the Steam Deck to play further.

It's more of the same after this. If you don't like what you see now, I doubt spoiling you for the story will make much of a difference.

It hasn't been boring, but it has been a tad creepy. Why creepy? Check this out.

Apparently, this game is that good, my gran loves it. She doesn't play, she just likes watching me play. And, that's not the creepy part, that's the odd part.

The creepy thing is, my gran died years before I was born. She thought the game was that good, she brought her ghost up from hell to haunt me.
