Good update for performance!
Hi,

Just tried the last update, before I couldn't use RT high and have a locked 60fps (I had to diasble HT in BIOS or set crowd and traffic density to low)
Now it's much better, CPU utilisation has been optimized and I can have a locked 60fps with RT on High and everything else on very high!
My rig is a 11700k with a 3080 TI and 16Go at 3600mhz
It took some times, but now I consider it good.
What's weird is with Miles Morales I don't have a single problem, it runs perfectly and is much more advanced
Hope this patch does the job for others people too

Personally never had any issues with the game performance but even I notice quite a good improvement after today's patch. It is really nice.

It's a good improvement, but I still get better performance with hyperthreading turned off. I was hoping for a fix for that.

Yeah, for me too, with HT off, I can set RT on max and have no problems.
With HT on, I have dips under 60 with RT on max...
It would be nice to have it fixed for sure!

Just out of curiosity, did you try unparking your CPU?

28 MB updates are a joke, may help some people, but for the most part NO fixes at all. My game is still extremely choppy with framerate, dipping into the freezeframes. I think I´m uninstalling this once I´m done with new game+......Just 2 achievements away from 100%....Both for new game+....

For me it was a 1.1Go update, not a 28mb one

Had the same experience, now it's a perfect locked 60 FPS for me before the update, I had drops into the 50's in heavy areas like Time Square, etc. CPU usage has come down a few notches, which makes sense why I'm seeing an improvement. I'm still rocking an 8700k which gets hammered in this game, but now running at all settings maxed out, object range at 6, DLSS on Quality at 1440P and it's perfect.

Miles Morales uses a diff method for streaming in assets and the overall world, compared to wht Spiderman Remastered used.
Reason it generally runs better and is highly unlikely they will implement this diff method into Remastered, since tht wuld require a rework of alot of the games code.

Frame generation runs super smooth, ultra responsive and bug-free now on a 4080, it goes all the way up to 230 fps with absolutely zero stuttering and zero frame drops (G-Sync 1440p 240 Hz monitor, 5800X3D CPU) at max settings including ray-tracing. It's incredible, the most amazing tech I've ever experienced. At first it wasn't that good due to latency and image glitches but the newest Nvidia drivers and latest game patches are making DLSS3 quality + frame generation a killer feature that will only get better, not to mention the exclusive shader execution reordering feature they can still add to the game for 4000 series owners (20-40% additional performance for ray-tracing). Jaw dropping.

Thanks for doing your part sending Nvidia a message that xx80's for $1200 is fine and dandy. Good job.

Totally agree with the OP. Setting the fps to suit your system is ideal, and CPU is optimised. I set mine to 60fps and I'm more than happy with how the game looks.

Some people appear to have graphics issues. Inevitably, I believe the vast majority of issues lie with the player, and not the game. It's the same with most games. 95% of the people playing have no issues. Yet, a small percentage do.

Now, I'm not saying the fault ALWAYS lies in the players hardware. Yes, some games have issues that are widespread. I guess you have to judge each game by its own merits and see precisely what the issues are and how many people have them.

Back in the early 2000's, I had a computer that gave me nothing but trouble. Every game would crash. BSOD constantly, and for no apparent reason. So, I've been there, which is why I'm keen to make my point.

Bought the game yesterday, on sale. Played a solid, totally enjoyable 12hrs. Not one crash. Nothing appears broken. So far. I've tweaked my settings a bit, but still have them fairly high. The game runs smooth and looks amazing. My specs are far from OP:

11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz 3.60GHz
RAM- 32.0 GB
Windows 10
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti

12900k/3080ti. I have never had severe performance issues, but when the game first launched, framerates would drop after about an hour of play, and there were crashes here and there. I took a couple months off because of frustration with the taskmaster stuff, when I came back performance had been much improved.

locked 60fps on those specs is a joke. Might as well play on consoles if your target is to just have the game running at 60fps

My game runs with high fps, but when I walk fast around the city or look around very quickly, the fps drops a lot
