I don't know. I bought an official charging dock. It's possible that you just play with the PC cable and don't charge with it. Docks aren't that expensive.
(That's for the benefit of those that won't read the whole thread!)
there has to be some way right?
Unless Sony produce their own bluetooth dongle that allows those functions, then it's cable till they do. There are rumours that Sony are going to make a Pro version of the Dualsense,
and I wouldn't put it past them to bundle a dongle with that like Microsoft did with the Xbox One pad, We will see.......
If you have a cable, plug the controller in, turn off Steam Input for the PS5 ports you've been playing and see what differences you notice.
Sony has been like this since the DS4 of worrying about crappy blue tooth devices not being able to do all the features correctly at all times and I am sure we will see another official wireless adapter from them in the coming months or years. They may be working on an official PC driver/software that would probably fix most of these issues as well.
They don't care about console sales nearly as much as they used to. They care about software sales way more. They are putting their best console sellers on PC. They have also just released PC monitors with specs the PS5 can't support. So they are now like Microsoft and put as many games as they can on both home console and PC.
