I see some performance update looking things....
So some performance updates have been added.
If the game ran like garbage for most people, it would be known. Its running fine for most people, as is typical in cases like this.
I'm sorry the game isn't working for you, i've had games that just wouldn't run well for me despite everyone else running it fine. Thats the nature of PC gaming.
Looking at the current trend of "♥♥♥♥ efficiency, lets just dump more power and higher thermals" for components these days, a gaming laptop is not gonna be the way to go in the future. They will either be throttled to hell and back or have severely gimped versions compared to their desktop counterparts.
I'm running a 3070 and my performance tanks when ray tracing is on. I cannot even hold 60 fps on moderate settings with RT off....There have been 3-4 Nvidia driver releases since the game came out and numerous Windows updates and the game's performance still stinks. If you are saying it "runs great", are you using an Nvidia graphics card on your laptop? What FPS are you maintaining? Is Ray Tracing On or Off? Are you even monitoring your performance or just subjectively commenting?
I've been playing the new Uncharted release and it runs flawlessly. It's a brand new PS title that released after Spiderman. Why does it run so much better? It's not the user, it's Nixxes..
There is no such thing as a gaming laptop, thats marketing lingo. The biggest problem with them is it doesnt matter what components you have in there, the GPU will always be a modified version of a desktop version and the temps can never be cooled how a desktop is. temps are very important to maintain clock speeds.
If you want to play intensive games you should look into a desktop. Laptops are cool and all but you shouldnt expect great performance as time goes on.
Also, the game runs smoothly for me at 1440p on my desktop contrary to your above statement.
How do you know what "most people" are experiencing?
Are you magical? :)
Dude, mine is custom made, i can easily play rdr2 and any modern game maxed out and my temps wont even get above 78 degrees. Delidded cpu and diamond thermal paste on the cpu and gpu. Plus this game has very low cpu and gpu usage. Yes! Most people, go look how many people who have 30 series rtx cards and much powerful cpus than i do, and still have issues. Just because you dont have issues playing the game doesnt mean everyone else doesn't. Hur durr runs great for me mindset. Go look on the discussions, calm your ego
They won't fix the game they've already released but they'll sell you the Miles Morales sequel.
I agree with you, they haven't even bother fixing the performance for this game, you would think they would try to fix this, as performance for a game is very important
They're not working with Nvidia to fix a game that we've already paid for.. They're pushing a new game to make more money that will probably have the same issues.
This is on my blade 14 with an amd 6900hx and an rtx 3070 ti.
Even this it still stutters in certain parts of the city when swinging around. In particular, it really is the swinging around. If I stand still it's a perfect 60. I can change settings to high, enable ray tracing etc. But the minute you start swinging around, in particular close to the ground level FPS just tanks.
I hope they figure out what's wrong soon
it gets worse the longer u play
