Besides, disabling Windows from doing something similar is actually built into the OS. So uh...
Denuvo means no game preservation unless the corp removes it later on. It does require a ping to the internet at least once afaik.
Singleplayer game is no reason.
Hitman is also a single player game but necessarily needs a permanent Internet connection and always has time-limited content.
Just because this single player does not have online content or a permanent Internet forced connection does not apply to all single-player games.
