To be honest it doesn't seems to do that much. I've tried on different occasions but it's just a tiny change for a large performance drop.
Maybe another setting needs to be turned on to use it.
I used it in Cyberpunk 2077 because it did quite a bit.
Do you have the latest drivers?
It doesn't do that automatically. It only does that if you tell it to do it when pushing the optimize button.
Having installed drivers for the past 20 years I have no longer wish to go to Nvidia or AMD homepage, to find the driver section, select my OS, select the graphics card and then download the current up to date version. Also this means I have to manually check the homepage IF a new driver is out.
Now it tells me, there is a new version out, do you want too install it? Yes, I'd like that.
Removes all that small hassle and replace it with two simple clicks. I can also select fresh install too so no need to uninstall the old driver and then install the new one.
As for "bloatware", it has no meaning anymore. Running the OS on a SSD makes basically nothing slow down your PC.
It just has no effect on performance anymore when using SSD.
Ray-tracing options are greyed out in the menu when hardware or drivers are not compatible. In rare cases, the ray-tracing options can be greyed out even if users have a compatible GPU. This occurs on some specific Windows versions, that lack support for Shader Model 6.6.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered for PC uses the DirectX Agility SDK, which requires Window 10 version 1909 (Build 18363) or newer. Some specific revisions of Windows 10 1909, 2004 and 20H2, do not have the DirectX Agility SDK that is needed to run the game. If you use Windows 1909, the revision number should exceed or be equal to .1350. For Windows 10 Version 2004 and 20H2, the revision number should exceed or be equal to .789.
You can find more information on DirectX Agility SDK and Windows 10 build numbers at the Microsoft DirectX Developer Blog: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/gettingstarted-dx12agility/#setup
In short: updating Windows should help.
Thanks this did help! I upgraded to 21H2 and it seems to work now
