Suddenly - Controller buttons all shown as "?"

Dear All,
i think i will not be able to answer any post here as i have the annoying steam Guard disabled and i will not enable this useless 30FA super-nanny. So it allows me to post only one time. Maybe someone still can try to help me with a fresh controller issue?
Steam is also showing every word as wrong so please excuse my typos.

Since today, the Dual-shock controller is only showing "?" as buttons, if i go to the "moves" menu and want look what to press for which combo, all buttons are "?". Also in-game, buttons which to press are shown just with nothing. I have disconnected the Dual-Shock and connected a XBox Elite Cpntrtoler, same issue, nothign better. PC reboot doens't help.
In the steam config both controller are correctly configured and also detected, i did few checks. Any idea?

I did also a crosscheck with Stray, both controller are correctly detected.

Steam Beta pushed an update out, that broke a few controller buttons. one reason I don't use the beta client.

So, are you on the beta client per chance?

lol I posted a PSA about this almost exactly 8 hours ago. It's the beta client update. I notified Steam support as well and am kinda surprised they haven't responded or pushed an update yet.

Dang it, I went to the Beta to get Dualsense support. They'd better fix it!

This happened to me when I turned steam overlay off in hopes to improve performance, fixed it by turning it back on. You should turn off big picture overlay tho but keep steam overlay on

It shouldn't affect me at the moment as I have Steam Input turned off with my Dualsense. How do you turn off Big Picture overlay?

Yes as the game nativelly supports DualShock 4, DualSense and XInput (genric or Xbox) controllers.
With appropriate functions and UI hints.
