do not install the game on HDD,
dont have outdated PC...
My laptop is playing this better than most people's desktop PCs. And laptop vs desktop has nothing to do with loading times.
I'm on a 4/5 year old budget rig not even designed for gaming and its never taken longer than about 4 seconds to load for me.
OP, Post specs if you want an answer,
At its absolute basics (I'm no tech wizard) Solid State Drives (SSD's) have no moving parts, as a result they have a notably faster write speed/data transfer rate, as well as being more durable and compatible due to their physically smaller size. A quick google will enlighten you much more than I can off the top of my head, but no 'SSDs reduce loading times is a scam' is incorrect.
The game may well run fine from an external HDD for you. If your PC's specs are very strong and the HDD is a modern high spec example; connected to a compatible high quality and modern port with the capacity for high speed data transfer then there's no reason why it shouldn't. However any blip in those requirements would change the results a lot.... older/cheap HDD? slower performance..... decent external HDD but plugged into an older or USBII port?....slower performance, older RAM or CPU coupled with the above? slower performance etc. etc. Rule of thumb, SSD is never worse, only the same at worst case, more often better.
2. Get an SSD and install the game on to it if you don't have one already.
personally i think you need to actually learn how computers work before commenting your dumb opinion.
