This game is a mess!

I was really enjoying the game but suddenly, this issue popped up and ruined my immersion completely. During research stations/story/side missions, Spider-man will say a piece of dialogue, as he normally does. However with certain lines, the subtitle will flash on the screen for a second but no dialogue is heard. I've tried reinstalling the game and I've verified the files as well as messing around with different in-game settings but this issue still persists even after the update. Any suggestions on how to fix this? What could be causing such an issue?

Tried that, didn't work. The main issue here is that the dialogue cuts off, regardless of whether subtitles are on or off, its very immersion breaking. I don't think there's anything that i haven't tried.

I just launched the game after about a week's break, now having the same issue you are having.
Seems like the dialog volume is screwed up, if I lower or mute all other audio, I can hear dialog but it sounds as if it is being yelled from the other side of a tunnel and it's very low.
I checked file integrity, reinstalled, and reinstalled audio drivers, but no fix.

Its honestly extremely disheartening, I was having a blast with this game before this issue popped up. Now I have no motivation to go back to it until this issue is fixed.

I changed the in game audio to Mono audio and this fixed it
Sounds like ass but it confirms it's an audio issue, not hardware. Nothing changed for me in the last week

Sounds weird (pun intended). Are you using onboard sound or no? I'm not having any issues with sound after the update & I use onboard.

Well I am using a usb headset with dongle (logitech pro x wireless), everything worked fine with it previously and there haven't been any updates to it's firmware, I don't play with it's software on ever.
I did mess with my BIOS settings this week but after noticing this I went back and reverted to what I had previously, and issue still remains.
Doesn't seem like many are experiencing this, since I can't seem to find anything online about it besides this new thread (op has a few though from the last few days)

I restarted the game and turned off subtitles and now i'm hearing lines that were previously being cut off before, not sure how long this will last though. Very strange, seems like my issue is linked to the subtitles in some way? I guess i have to play the rest of the game without subtitles.

So another question, do you mod the game using the new Suit-Adder tool? People have noticed that adding 4 or more suit-slots to the game breaks Peter Parkers dialogue & is mute.

No, only mods i use would be unlimited focus and gadget ammo

Hi I know this thread is super old but there were literally no other threads or websites talking about this issue, has anyone found a solution , I got Spiderman PC for Christmas and I was having a lot of fun at first but after I started the research station missions every mission I did I started encountering this exact issue. Aside from cutscenes, any dialogue would be cut short before the last line, and the subtitle would flash for a millisecond.

same issue - i wanted to buy the other Spiderman Morales but I saw they were having issues with it shutting off so I decided to reinstall this hoping it fixed after latest patch and still same issue with the audio cutting out. It completely knocks out my system audio I have to unplug my audio cable and put back. Don't have any other issues with any other of my games , just this one.
