black screen after loading

hello. i'm having an issue where the game starts up fine until i choose to continue my game. i get the little logo, then it goes away, and i can hear the game playing, but my screen stays black. any idea how to fix this?

that was my last option, and thats what it was. i lost about 3 hours of gameplay, but its better than everything.
