unplayable for a decent pc

no idea why but this is the only game ive ever had freeze up for 5 seconds over and over while playing. no other games I own give me a problem

You''re not the only one. Ever since the new update, many players have been experiencing crashes over and over again. Hopefully they will fix soon.

I'm on a 380, i9, 32gb, SSD, Win 11 and it's unplayable for me. Leave for a few min come back to play and it freezes all the time. Play red dead 2k maxed out and i'm flying. Like I get no stutters it feels great but it just seems to freeze for me.

From another thread but, you can rollback the update in properties>betas if you want to play before this is fixed :).

Here's a thought... when's Nvidia gonna push a new set of drivers? The last one was before release.

Its the latest update, not the game in general. I had no issues for 22 hours+ before the update, after updating it started crashing every 5-10 mins. Go to the game-properties-beta's- previous_version and after redownloading the older files it should be fine.

yeah agreed, its def the game update, it does it to both my rigs 3090ti and 6900XT they run it smooth enough but theres a constant stutter

elden ring Ultra settings max Frames ect. theres not a game i own that I cant run ultra 60 but this game locks up swinging around for 5 secs randomly and is unplayable. Yes ive lowered settings to low and still happens. 32 gigs ram rtx 3070ti ect blah blah..no reason this should be locking up

seen posts that suggest that this is due to the RT implementation, hopefully it gets fixed but try turning RT off for now. The game has been fine for me on my R7 3700X with a 1070Ti so that is the only thing I can think of

haha ok bud Ive never played fornite once lol also rolling back fixed the problem been playing an hour ultra settings ray tracing on max and not one dip under 60FPS or lockyup

Always post the entire full specs.

Avoids differing interpretations and besides being vague isn't really forming any sensible discussion.

Nvidia is currently tracking an issue mostly on laptops with Optimus tech.

As for freezes, that depends on your system, settings, what is going on, etc. so better investigate.
On my side, the game stuttered only during swinging with RT on high.

Your cpu? This game is cpu heavy, so if you have a potato cpu, thats why.
