Melee ruins this game.

Everyone knows it, I'd get it if they had low HP but they're some of the stronger units in the game it's utter nonsense.

Melee is EASY to play and has powerful Alpha dmg, they should be glass cannons with very low HP, among the lowest in the game.

PS: Since some people don't seem to get this, I don't think Barb is OP because he can 1v1 any other unit in the game (Because he just can't). I think he's OP specifically because of his unique ability to fracture a team formation like no other unit in the game does. Barbs usually don't actually get most kills/DMG..... But I don't care about those things because it's a team objective based game so those stats don't matter, they're merely a side affect of playing the objective.

Yes but I got the bronze at a different time then I got both silver and gold.

This is getting grossly offtopic and I don't really know what else to say. We're going in circles here. The point you wanted to make was that a single placement match was all that was needed to proc the bronze achievement. You posted a picture that shows you getting bronze, silver and gold at different times. This picture doesn't really rule out the idea that you fought your way up to gold rank. I don't know what else there is to say. I'm willing to trust your on word since I see no reason for you to lie but I'm just pointing out the picture isn't definitive evidence.

Alright we're going to have to take this to another thread because that screenshot doesn't show that you didn't place in gold. I placed silver on pc and got bronze and silver at the same time. I placed gold on xbox and got gold and silver at the same time.

If you really didn't place gold and got your gold achievement later after having fought from silver (something haven't made clear yet) then if anything it reinforces my point that your image doesn't make any sense and fails to prove that single placement match gets you the bronze achievement. Im going to get some sleep and if you really need to pursue this topic I suggest we make a new thread and we stop derailing.

That does not exist on PC, It is the bronze achievement.
And it might be due to a new update theres been a bunch of seasons since you got yours ranks.

And the first image I sent that wasn't my smurf IS ME PLACING IN GOLD WITH BOTH ACHIVEMENTS AT THE SAME TIME AND DATE.

Oh i get it now. Yeah im being stupid. I thought there was a new season inbetween april and may.

Wtf this means they have an achievement that is mislabeled and has remained mislabeled for the entire games existence!?

So your just looking for others to validate its the games fault for your struggles that hold you back, or you refused to admit players better than you exist..

Considering matchmaking is biased, and can easily manipulated though several methods.. win rate doesn't reflect a players ability.

I mean, sure I'm 50% right now, I coukd easily get 5 of my old highlander teammates together, and pubstomp our way up to 60, maybe even 70%..

However there's really no point as the moment I go back to solo play, I know the matchmaking system will give me extra onesidedly bad matches till my win rate gets back down to around 50%..

That's the nature of a biased matchmaking system..

Bad players get carried, and begin to think there good, then try to blame the game because they can't admit they may not be as good as they think they are..

If I were to guess, your either teamstacking or unknowingly manipulating the matchmaking system in your favor. Which would explain your win rate..

Your attitude is petulant and immature, your attempt to dismiss someone's opinion on unit balance by attacking their personal skill is proof of that. - Which was exactly the point in posting my stats. by your own metric if the game has sbmm that tends to bring people back down to 50% win rates (I do face a LOT of newtypes...) then my higher than average win ratio is even more impressive.



However as I've said throughout this thread, skill doesn't affect the validity of my opinion. - Saying otherwise is a childish notion as it always has been. Granted I could see it if I was getting crushed every match and you could attribute my opinions to grief but that's clearly not the case. Considering my win ratio I get more enjoyment from this game than most (a win's a win) and I play a unit type that at least has a direct counter to Barb (Gundam mace).



I don't know what else you want me to say to you, I've elaborated my opinions on game design here in DETAIL about the issue, you haven't.




PS: Considering you didn't even address the topic of the Original post I have to assume you just took offense to my win ratio being vastly above yours... Grow up.

PPS: Do tell me how someone manipulates matchmaking to win more often lol.. You could say grouping but then again I know for a fact the Matchmaker DOES pair groups against other groups. You can't cheese Win Ratio, but if I did want to cheese the sbmm system and throw objective in favor of get getting as much kills as possible then it's likely that the skilled based match maker would erroneously place me against weaker opponents based off my average or below average win ratio where I could pwn noobs. So KDR could certainly be cheesed, especially if you play specific unit types that just get more kills due to assists or just more DPM potential than others.

- Or as has always been the case with KDR obsessed kids, neglecting objective/teamplay in favor of personal KDR inflation... Doing that is one thing but to do that and then hand wave at WIN RATE which is what always mattered is where it gets hilarious.

Guntank does have a chance to have higher DPS just not higher single target DPS
Gundam, palerider and zaku 2 R all have higher DPS due to being able to headshot
