This game shutting down is the players fault not BANDAI NAMCO
If all the active players promoted this game to their friends/social media and bought the DLC, season pass, and spent a minimum on $40 rolling for each gacha. This game would be in a healthy state and would not need to shutdown. This is 100% the players fault. They gave away too many freebies and people became cheap and greedy. Too many gundams were free and there should be a paywall for extra QoL features and game modes.

RIP one of the best and most competitive FPS of all time.

No totally wasn't the fact there was a very small selection of suits, only releasing 1 suit per "season" limited maps and near impossible grinding to unlock other suits that are in the game totally the "fans" fault.

Also this argument falls flat about the "gacha" aspect since gbo2 is celebrating it's 5th year and still going.

Gbo2 being released on steam was the final nail and alot of people playing evo jumped over to gbo2.

You must be new. Justice and Brisk like to write posts where they make an aggressively sarcastic post about how the game is perfect. This is done to mock the people who actually make posts like this. Notice how his plan is intentionally impossible and sarcastic. Everyone doesn't need to just play the game... they need to spend 40 dollars on gacha or more and there just was too many freebies in the game (again anyone who paid attention would note there was barely any freebies in the areas that mattered).

they already decided. doesn't matter if you pump 1million $ in this game.

Follow the money, follow the players. Where does that get us? Did the devs want to be out of a job or sunk-cost into a game like this? Or were they forced to because of an ungrateful generation of people pedaling off their daddies boomer money and expecting handouts time after time? And then throwing a hissy fit and cancelling anything that doesn't meet their expectations and demands to a tee. You tell me.

I mean OP has a point. What were you guys thinking, being ungrateful complainers while not even contributing to the healthy future of this game? Instead people wanted to leech off of stuff and be a bunch of free loaders, and now look where that got us. Now *everyone* loses, but sure, just keep telling yourself that if you go down the toxic cesspool that everything will be better, that you can just waltz in and expect exclusive american entitlement towards every new unit you want, you keep telling yourself that.

You're not going to get your wing reps, and you're certainly not going to get any community reps, as they pulled the plug on Europe for a reason. They were full of selfish arrogant french civil servants that barely work 20 hours a week, and riot when a year or two of their pensions get cut. Give me a break.

"its the customers fault that the product was bad! just buy the bad product! if you bought the bad product then it would have been better!!!"
lol

Both Bandai and the playerbase have blame to be had..

Bandai made bad design choices based on profitability. Which made the game a time bomb since day one..

Games like G-evo,tf2 and overwatch require a bit more cognitive ablity to be successful at, compared to other Fps games..

Developers know the majority of the money comes from those of the lower end of the cognitive ablity spectrum, which creates a conflict of interests for them.

When it comes to the blame the playerbase has its hard to generalize it beyond blaming them for "intellectual apathy".

The market success or failure of any product is ultimately the fault of the business and there's no way around it.

The hypothetical scenario of the community steal manning a product was and will always continue to be a fantasy, the cold hard fact is that consumers spend their time and money on things they enjoy and it's the job of the developer to make something appealing to the consumer to keep them engaged.

I know there's a lot of Gundam fans but if you took the Gundam theme away from this game what would you have? Would you still be interested in it? It's not that the branding isn't worth anything it's just that it isn't worth ENOUGH to overcome some of the basics that I think were lacking.

In the end it's just business, remember we're not contributing to a charity and the devs were never asking for a donation. They're offering a product and we make the call to buy it or not. Value changes hands and we both go on with our lives.

How much is bandai paying you for this? In seriousness this is not the players fault it's the devs fault for their failure to provide a good service. Any good game can be destroyed if the service isn't up to snuff and this game had one of the worse service i have seen. Constant crashes, lack of quality of life standards seen in fps games, greedy monetization and hindrance of progress to sell a solution to a problem they made to name a few. And if they just give up instead of turn it around that's also on them.

It is not our obligation to care or cover for a failing game it sucks but that's how the customer and consumer dynamic works.

Hawken was basically this game. Fun and I liked it, but I didn't stick with it. I was playing other games at the time. Kind of my fault.

It also died really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast, so.
