Launch Error - Failed to get the process' path

Ever since the update I can't play anymore. I get the message "Launch Error - Failed to get the process' path". This seems to be an issue with Easy Anti Cheat.

I did not install anything new, no driver or windows updates, not even my other games had any updates since GunEvo was working the last time. I have tried everything tonight, updated windows, video card drivers and C++, verified game files on steam and deleted the download cache, scanned for corrupted files via the command prompt, temporarily disabled firewall and anti virus. I have not much additional software installed except my razor mouse drivers and two other games and a tool for one of the games.

I have also tried to run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe as an admin, but I only see a window popping up for a split second and have no access to the app and the repair function or uninstall/install. I have deleted the easy anti cheat folder and had steam put it back with verify game files. Nothing produced any results. I think the big issue is that Easy Anti Cheat for some reason suddenly can't even launch its own installer anymore because of whatever causes the issue.

I have googled if others have the same issue with Easy Anti Cheat and got a few hits from another game where people had the same issue with the easy anti cheat window only popping up small black window for a split second when they tried to run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe, but the thread was 6 month old and no one had a solution, or they found a solution but nobody posted about it.

Anyone else got the same issue or a solution? Any help would be appreciated. I am really bummed that all of a sudden I can't play anymore.

Also can't play since the update.

I'm getting a 'failed to install' error when launching the game followed by an 'easy anti-cheat not installed' error. Tried verifying files but it didn't help.

Bro, I thought I'm only one who got that issue. But yah I also didn't know how to fix it .

I've been having the same problem! by now I'm pretty sure that it's some kind of bug that the devs are going to have to patch out.

U sure? If that, I've to wait huh....damm. Imagined I finished the school and rush to my home for update and play them. But unfortunately, I can't. And Idk how long I've to wait for now.

Well, if this game is on multiple platforms, AND if what we're getting is a bug, then the Devs might not notice right away.

It could also be that the problem is that Anti Cheat somehow got the game removed from it's servers, Given that I tried reinstalling Anti Cheat and it didn't have Gundam Evolution as a game you could select to install it for. If that's the case, We're going to have entirely different problems.

i get close to what you described i think (Failed to instal Error code 1) honestly just wanted to try and see what they changed and meybe try if i can get 1 ranked match for the quest since i wasent able to do it since lunch

I've now sent a message to EAC support and GunEvo support describing the issue.
If I don't hear from them soon, I'll try to delete EAC and the registry keys like listed here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/709310/discussions/0/1479857071261899698/ and see if I can get the EAC installer to run properly. If that doesn't help, I'll try to reinstall that game which is gonna suck with my 1.2 MB/s internet

Damn. well at least now I don't have to download the game again with my crappy 1.2MB/s connection.

huh I was able to play the game but I still get that error code 1 message I think I just pressed the EvoStream in the local files of the game and it loaded a bit slower than usual but after it said waiting for game... it actually loaded and was functional even though the error code will still show up.

This worked! Same thing happens for me I still get the "failed to install" error but I don't get the anti-cheat error anymore and the game loads.

this is a bit different from my issue though. I did not get the "failed to install" error.
I tried running the game directly from the local files and I just get the same error.
