Does Exia have a counter?

If an Exia is charging straight at you, it's not an Exia. It's a Barb thinking they found a new suit.

Most the time I've seen them play akin to assassins. Ducking in and out, getting picks. The only time they go ham is during thier ult.

funny how bandai claims to care about balance... yet exia and barb were both heavily complained about being Over tuned during the closed network test... and they did nothing about it, in the 6+ months since..

right! yeah they're annoying but Exia ain't so hard to deal with.

i play exia, usually my counters are sazabi, pale rider, guntank and if you are really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good at grappling turn a. curious to hear everyone else on the topic, i don't think he's very good but nonetheless probably the most annoying to play against

Either you didn't participate in the Network Test, or didn't play very much. Barbatos was noticeably nerfed (specifically, his hitboxes; the charge stun has a much shorter range, and his melee attack doesn't his literally everything in front of him anymore).

I honestly didn't encounter many Exias (or at least, good ones) in the Network Test, so I'm not sure on him.

Turn your sound up: exia and barb players don't realize just how loud their charge ups are and easily give away their position trying to ambush.

Funnily enough, the Exia's knockback attack does wonders at screwing the pilot over when fighting a Dom Trooper. I mean, thanks for making it easier for me to laser and rocket you, i guess?

For a while, I actually thought that Exia hard counters the Dom Trooper though that was probably me just being dumb when i first encountered it.
