Nope. Iceland was a part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It was from the time when Norway was still a part of Denmark, which is probably why some people get it wrong. Greenland is still part of Denmark.
Just cause you stick a flag in it doesn't mean its yours, Icelandic people are not Danish never where.
Also in general most Icelandic people I know can not stand Danish people and make fun of the fact you guys sound like Vikings with potatoes in your throat.
