Like if the past 6 years of all the game changing "decisions" they made haven't told you otherwise.
Widowmaker's grapple hook, Tracer's blinks, genji wall climbing and dash ability, ashe shotgun ability that thrusts her in a direction opposite of where she is looking, winston jumps, Moria phase skill, Reaper's shadowwalk.
The stuns on almost every unit in some form or another in combination with snowball mechanics of g-moves and revives really leads to some terribly one sided matches admittedly. Generally the fewer players a shooter has, the less likely and potent a stomping will be. But both of these mechanics essentially cancel that out and further excel any differences in team strength.
Which is odd because the rest of the game excluding these weird choices follows logical game designs, such deaths always being more punishing towards the winning team, via longer respawn times and further travel to get to the objective if you're doing well. Classic triple or double lanes to stop camping chokeholds at one spot. Etc etc.
Probably he is referring having a separate resource for movement rather than using only abilities.
Her stun was world's apart from other stuns in the game. No cast time and no real animation to it until it was done, insta-teleporting 3 feet forward, it released with a 6 second cooldown and stunned for like a solid second back when she first released.
The issue with this stun in particular was things like the 6 seconds of downtime, but 1 second of stun. That's 5 seconds to kill her if she doesn't miss (which she doesn't miss) before you get stunned again. The stun is also uncounterable because the insta cast time and no animations. So say you have anti-CC that stops stuns. You literally have to predict the future for your anti-CC to counter Brigitte's CC specifically because she had the only CC in the game that was instant. Brigitte's CC was literally a CC attack that counters anti-CC meant to counter CC attacks. Not smart game design, part the reason the game fell off with it's goats comp.
TD:LR The moral of the story here? Some stuns in this game are basically undodgeable like shield bash. No counter play. Not exactly fun as a byproduct. At least players know to avoid Barbatos and he doesn't have a shield like Brigitte. But G moves like punch are just bad game design.
if you are going with a setting that has chunky fights, make the game chunky, not overwatch spaz ttk.
