tutorial crashes and gtx 1030 apparently doesn't have enough memory

yesterday the game would always crash before starting the tutorial. reinstalling seemed to fix that, but it's not exactly a good sign.

today i'm getting out of video memory popups that freeze the game even though my gpu has exactly as much memory as the gtx 1050 which is the minimum recommended gpu for this game. honestly i don't understand how a game that looks like this requires a better gpu than what i've got.

overall this game has some serious problems and from what i've seen i'm not the only one struggling to run this game. i think i'll try to come back in a month.

you should seriously upgrade to at least a 1660 or at least something fairly new and inexpensive; especially if you have any expectation of playing modern games

you can literally get a better gpu for $50 $75 or $100 bucks easy, especially with the crypto crash

i spent not even 5 mins on ebay and there's 1660 supers and 580 8gb under $150 easy and with an auction sniper you can easily snag them for under $100

idk your money situation so im not gonna pull your leg but it's not a $300 investment to upgrade from a 1030 who's sole purpose is to be a gpu for cpu's that lacked igpu's

temps don't matter, he doesn't have enough gpu cores to run the game at the bare minimum

the fact that this thread was made means he doesn't want to; i gave him genuine advice and gpu prices are at all time lows

if my friend in Venezuela can get a 580 for insane markup for less than minimum wage; OP certainly can if he actually cares, especially if he lives in america where the used market is loaded with low end gpus in mass supply
