Don't let the reviews (if there steam ones anyway) sway you as they always seems to down vote games for stupid things anyway,it is a good game i just hope they don't let the elitists spoil it like they did in dd.

Have you tried Dungeon Defenders Redux? It's DD1 with QoL improvements, new towers, expanded end game, new content. It's what DDA should have been. You can find this version if you check the beta branch in Dungeon Defenders properties.

Nah they’re definitely right. It’s still missing features and polish as well as doing some things worse than the original.

The game even got downgraded at some point before the Switch release.

I’m surprised this is still in beta branch.

They really like juggling games..

I'd say it was more of a sidegrade after checking the numbers, while attacks per second was lowered, the individual attacks come out to a higher damage per second net number so long as there was no animation lock on tower attack rate (which I'm led to believe there was one even in DD1), this ultimately also comes to be a net positive since certain enemy types can get some pretty nasty damage reduction effects in later stages of DDA, such as the lycans being able to put up an advancing guard that reduces incoming damage by 75%

DDA isnt the trashpile some people say it is, its just lacking some polish. There is allot of room for improvement with DDA, but the amount of hours I spent in DDA between pc and xbox I sure got my moneys worth. I gave this a shot and its fine for what it is, just not quite my bag. Its fun for what it offers, but since I prefer the TD part of DD I am not sure how much I can get into this title. If you are more into the ARPG part of DD then its totally for you in my opinion.

That’s a decent way to look at it tbh.
