Update Tip: set your Butchery options immediately
When you build a Butchery it defaults to basically "butcher everything" so as soon as it's built go into the Manage screens and turn off the stuff you don't want butchered.

I lost two hens (that I wanted to lay eggs) because I didn't set the management options within minutes of building it. :steamsad:
