Prosperity, Militia, and Build Points
I think I have a handle on prosperity now, but I don't have any build points left in either of the villages I have liberated. How do you get more build points in each of the villages?

I have also begun trading my excess stuff, which helps their prosperity. The militia you can recruit are better once you get high enough.

But are the heavy armor militia any good in combat? I would like to take out a big bandit camp, and I am thinking about using some of them. I would imagine you would have to liberate many villages before their numbers will make much difference.

Any tips on how to get more build points for villages and use the militia effectively?

You get more points with each level of prosperity. It's WAY more efficient to wait until lvl 4or5 to build the military buildings when you look at prosperity gained per construction point spent

Tamu is correct, as the Militia for the villages are very weak, even if you build them all the military buildings. A single reclaimation group will easily overwhelm them without your help or the help of your own troops. I know from testing it myself.

I just watched a reclamation party on the way to Haerndean casually mow down the militia in Padstow along the way with zero losses while my army caught up to me. The militia are very weak.

What level do you have padstow? They aren't meant to be able to repel a rec party, just supplement your force

I can't say how much they are weak, but I'm using them as additional force to help me. Just had a battle with Reclamation Party with their numbers as high as mine including the militia from 3 towns. It was tough, few survived.

So I'm using them in 2 cases: either need to quickly cleanup ~4 strong bandit campss, or to liberate a village, where recently reclamation parties become really strong.

I am almost at lvl 2 prosperity in both Padstow and Haerndean, so that should help with build points. It sounds like militia are nerfed at the moment, so it doesn't break the game.

Simply being able to hire a dozen heavy infantry on command would probably make things to easy.

I would like to see some larger bandit camps and forifications that would require you to bring 40-50 men or more to conquer it.

My hope is that there are some larger scale battles in the late game. Similar to Manor Lords scale at least. Probably not possible to reach Total War size, but 50-100 per side would be something to see.

I have a dozen really good fighters who are well equipped, so handling reclamation parties is just a matter of having enough at my settlement to defend the nearby villagers.

I built my settlement right between Padstow, Haerndean, and Bradford. In the big open field between the lake and the bridge at the crossroads in Cedar Creek.

It looks like having a couple outposts with at least 6-8 heavily armed well trained men is going to be a must once Farnworth and Blackridgepool want liberation.

Village Militia should be stonger by that stage in the game, since there is a lot more prosperity among the free regions.

I would hope the total number of free territories and their prosperity would be accumulative, so that liberated villages that are farther from your main settlement are more capable of defending themselves, and only need a small group to assist them.

Otherwise managing all of the logistics involved is going to become a headache.

So you aren't even lvl 2 yet? Are you looking at the rewards per level on the menu? They get additional units and upgrade as you go. But even maxed they are nit going to repel reclamation parties, not should they. If they could do that, you wouldn't have had to liberate them. They are just supplemental to your force so you don't have to march as many people.

The last reclamation party I have encountered had 36 men. I had a bit more. And this is not the last village yet.
I'm trying to reach Prosperity level 5 in Crasmere but only have 2 construction points left.

Do I need to deconstruct Village buildings so I can use construction points more efficiently?
