IF it was a free dlc yes.
What do you mean "why"? Tons and tons of games have achievements in paid DLC. I have no issues paying for DLC (already bought the Season Pass)... but I like achievements and the meta-reward; will be disappointing if there are none in the DLC, and in fact will lessen my likelihood of buying future DLCs if I know they won't have achievements either. Just like with Escape Simulator's DLC, sadly.
Just look at Pixel Puzzle Ultimate. Over 1500 cheevos and every DLC brings new ones. Its Impossible to complete without throwing many bundles of cash on it.
2) then don't care about the achievements and don't buy the DLC
I'm all in favor of achievements for paid DLC. Bring em on.
I don't mind if there's a limited amount of DLC's to be bought. That's the case with Escape Academy. There's a couple of DLC's at most and you know they are going to be of good quality.
There are games that do tons of DLC's of mediocre or bad quality. People who care about their achievement stats would be 'trapped' so to speak. Either let the stats get worse, or fork over more money for a mediocre game.
Not buying such a game is the best thing to do, but not all games are clear about their plans for DLC's. So you might buy a game thinking it's great, be disappointed by it, stick with it to 100% it, then after a while realise there's DLC achievements and even worse, they keep coming.
If you like the game enough to get all achievements, wouldn't you like more content and achievements for the game? Some achievement hunters are just too sad. Muh "completion" stats, touch some grass for Christ's sake.
100% with you brother, I will play the DLCs without the achievements but it's idiotic to listen to the "fans" that really only cares about easy achievements and fast 100%. Yuck!
as i wrote. IF the DLC's are free, add all the achievements.
anyway, im not discussing with Level 0's.
