Sword Puzzle

I'm not sure if I'm just not doing it right, or if it's a bug. Every time I try to do the sword box puzzle on the showman studio, I'm always left with 2 purple segments that I can't seem to get rid of. It makes the room unsolvable and I'm unable to get the "under 10 minute" achievement.

Same with me. I could only restart. On the next run there was no sword-puzzle and i could finish. At least one of the sword-puzzles is broken at the moment.
