Server Room logic question

I brute forced the server room because I couldn't figure out why the solution was the way it was. Can somebody ELI5 the solution to this puzzle?

Just did this one myself and figured out fairly quickly that you could brute force it without much difficulty. Didn't even bother trying to find the proper solution!

I just finished this puzzle. The hint for that last room didn't show up for me. The screen was just blank. Had to just brute force it. I'm playing the Game Pass version on PC, but there's no update for the game to make it appear on the screen.

Same for me. The current PC Gamepass version does not have the fix to display the decoding guide (though I found that in colorblind mode, some labels for the shape colors *are* displayed). Didn't break the game because this puzzle is easy to solve by trial-and-error but @Freezman please take a look at getting that version fixed because it was pretty confusing to be stuck in that room with no clues (pressing hint also just displays the blank screen and implies that somehow we're supposed to deduce values from it). I assumed that I had missed picking up some key item before I got locked in the room.

Once you start the hack at the end of the room the screen near the door should reveal the puzzle hint.
It has 4 rows of colored shapes plus their value 1 to 4. Bottom of the screen it says "pull from lowest point value to highest"
Every switch has 3 colors and the same shape sequence below them. Add up all the values on the individual switches.
Then you turn them off from lowest value to highest value.

I really struggled with this puzzle until I found out my problem: screen was not showing hints. I was forced to search the solution by myself, sadly. Can this be a bug?

Yes, this bug was recently introduced to the game pass version. Should be fixed this upcoming patch.
