Strength & Fortune boss fight for x10 Infinity: A More consistent method
I scoured the internet with little to no success, until I found a post on a forum(that was quite recent, actually) where someone described a method that instantly worked for me as well.

-Make sure your teammates are not maxed out. They need to die.
-Bring Mitsuru, Koromaru and Junpei (they can be very weak for this, as the person I read this from had allegedly left them around level 40. Mine were level 70)

Basically, allow your teammates to die. The trigger for the x10 infinity definitely appears death based(as everyone who has gotten the drop has mentioned teammates dying).I let Mitsuru die twice to strength before I was unable to revive her. And had koromaru purposefully die to a wheel explosion. Then it was down to me and Junpei, and Junpei died a few turns before I took out Fortune.

On my first try, I got the x10 infinity drop after grinding the boss for hours. Which was a completely different outcome from the many runs I did with no character deaths.

I believe the trigger definitely is character deaths. But it also could possibly be simply not using Aigis, Yukari or Akihiko(it would have to be tested). I never had success when none of my characters died: so allow your characters to die if you can comfortably do so, and leave them dead if you want.

You should be able to get x10 infinity this way. But it may be random chance despite this. I did get it first try doing this though. :puppet_billy: And so did the person who posted this method. So there is definitely a trigger in it somewhere.

I brought Mitsuru, Koromaru and Junpei. I used ghastly wail to get rid of Strength after success roulette on fear. Then engineered death by roulette damage on Koromaru. He first went down to a margarudyne, so I revived him with a bead for half health, then allowed him to die with roulette damage specifically. Once Koromaru was dead, I got Mitsuru killed with roulette damage. Then I revived both so everybody was alive and killed Fortune. By this point I had already gotten the first, second and third rewards. This gave me the x10 infinity.

Stay consistent with roulette rolls by waiting until the result you want is opposite the dial pointer.

Seems plausible. I tried 6 or 7 times doing other things I saw suggested (killing with ghastly wail, all reds, all blues, taking damage, etc) and never got them to drop. By that point I had enough gems to just buy them individually from the antique shop so I did that.

In the end I only needed 4 of them, but it's still probably the safer strategy to save up 10.

From my testing, to get the special reward from Vision Quest's Fortune & Strength battle (x10 Infinity), you need to let a party member die to the Wheel of Fortune. I don't believe it's character dependent either.

Also, if you want x10 Armageddon, they can be acquired through the special reward from the Hanged Man battle. The condition for this one is to allow Hanged Man to detonate one of the Mayas it summons (must take damage from it).

Both are noted in my secret boss battles guide, alongside some other tips if you're interested:

I just did my Liz fight yesterday and eventually gave up on the Infinities over farming out Malachite and buy them out of the Antique.

When I tried it, I was running Mitsuru, Yukari and Koromaru - later changing a slot to Akihiko but I don't remember with whom I changed him out. Within my attempts, dying to Wheel of Fortune, having multiple members die to Wheel of Fortune - Resurrecting, or not; None of it mattered and I kept seeing the Pearl x5 reward.

To me, it does suggest leaning towards possibly certain characters needing to be present, like OP mentioning Yukari being a no-go for this

Here's a video I found of someone that got x10 Infinity reward from beating Strength & Fortune with Aigis, Yukari, and Koromaru. I'm fairly certain on the condition being just have your ally die to the wheel. It's possible that the door's first/second clear rewards take priority over the special reward (can't confirm), in which case you just have to repeat the conditions for 3 battles at most.

That makes sense. Reloading the same savefile to keep my team at low enough HP to get easily knocked out by the Wheel may have messed things up then
