Nine Sols
Jades seems super limiting
I currently have 19 jades unlocked and plenty of more left to unlock. But I only have 5 computing power and most jades requires 2 slots, some even require 3!

So even though I have 19 unlocked I can only use 2 and a minor one... that seems pretty damn insane, especially considering most are not even that good and some even have negative effects, like the one that cost 3!

Already purchased 2 computing power from the "wandering shopkeeper", he didn't have more to sell.

You will get more sockets later. At the end I had 10 sockets. Some of them drops from mini bosses or big chests

Compared to the charm system in Hollow Knight or the talisman system in PoP: Lost Crown the jades are a very minor part of this game. It would be nice to have some additional "computing power" but most of the jades felt...forgettable. I did like running the jade that allows you to revive after death once for boss fights though
I agree that the computing power seems a little too back loaded, I was also running with 5 for most of my playthrough because there were higher priority purchases, and the Jin for computing power scales pretty fast.
Thing is, once you get all computing units and all jades, you can shred any bosses.
Some of them marginally increase recovering and surviveability but if they were removed noone would notice. Super bleak compaared to Charms in Hollow Knight. Amazing game with so much exploration and the combat is top tier but you can totally overlook the Jades. Put your gold in other places. Get good at parrying, you shred with combos, not basic ass Jades.
Charms in hollow knight were op, not game changing. Some of the like strenght were unbalanced, while others useless.
Jades are just modifying your style not making you op strong

1-cost jades are mostly minor tweaks
2-cost jades are helpful modifiers that usually don't radically change your playstyle but still can affect it
3-cost jades can actually be a moderate change
so yeah jades system has its importance.

As for computing power, you should have like 7 by the time you fight Lady E if you explore properly, fight those minibosses and also buy 3 that living weapon sells - they aren't that cheap, but by not losing too much corpse money and having farm loadout when not engaging bosses you'll have sufficient money.
I just got my 6th jade notch after 4th sol. And I am at the fight for the 5th sol, I just decided to leave it alone and do some more thorough exploration before diving into it, which is how I could afford that 6th one. I definitely feel like in Hollow Knight, there was a lot more room for creative charm builds, but I will say, after that 6th slot, your options for builds do finally become a bit more varied. 2-2-2, 3-2-1, 3-1-1-1, 2-2-1-1, etc. A lot better than most of the game up to this point, in which I mostly was wearing the immovable jade + some minor one.
IMO only stasis and quick healing are worth very much. Possibly instacharge on parry if you bother to think about it and get good at knowing when to do it. Divine hand also fairly useful I guess.
I never found the jade system in the game to be that important for my playstyle, I basically slapped on the farming jades and then changed them out for the revival jade and something else in boss fights. I think if I used unbounded counter (I do not like this mechanic and do not use it) there would be some interesting jade setups for that, but if you aren't using unbounded that much then the jade system is pretty "meh".

Hollow Knight charms and Prince of Persia talismans are both superior systems with a lot more experimentation and expression.
