ARC Raiders

Game could be interesting if it was PVE.
Personal take, if this game launches as PVP I won't give it another look. History already taught us this lesson over and over, and I know better now. PVP extractions cannibalize the same small population and are a magnet for cheaters, so of course that small community is looking for its next flavor to hop to until the next flavor then cannibalizes them off of that one too.

Meanwhile PVE games even somewhat imitating the design work well, provided they don't trip over their own feet with terrible decisions. Just look at Deep rock galactic. Somewhat of a PVE extraction shooter and it has lasted years.

The only other obvious example is forever winter, which tripped over its own feet with its bad decisions around the "water mechanic" that would wipe your progress if you didn't play frequently enough, plus it was early access. Unfortunately sticking to bad decisions on release tends to sour the rest of the game's lifespan, even if they try to neuter their own bad design later on because they finally realized how bad it was.

Huh, doesn't this seem familiar. Game devs make bad decision, a small minority yell all over the forums to "don't you dare change it, ignore everyone I want this," then the game dies on release and people won't give it another look even after the design is changed.

Look at CoD DMZ, still has a massive population despite CoD itself leaving it for what it is. Tarkov, Hunt Showdown, all player vs player vs enemy and all doing rlly well. So no worries, it will release as a player vs player vs enemies and it will do just fine.
not reading, this game is PvP keep whining about it
This game will be huge. I trust these DEVS with experience more than I do people like you who have no idea what they are talking about.

Hunt showdown is doing really well because it got completely reworked, before that, it had on average around 2k players and the higher rank was littered with cheaters, causing people to constantly lose high level hunters. Tarkov lost a TON of players due to their financial fiasco when they released the PvE packages and forced people to get the 200+ dollar version just to play the game proper. So when you say "Rly well." You mean well, not really well and when you look at a new game that has no following yet, that is not financially sustainable (Which is why games tend to fail.)

Look at Marauders for instance, the game people literally called Tarkov in space, how's it doing again? Don't even get me started on Arena breakout, which is free and STILL can't get a sustainable playerbase, across multiple platforms, including the damn phone.

The "small minority" you mention is the PVE weirdos that come to a pvpve forum and beg to change the game to what they want. Wont happen bud move along.

Not true at all. Hunt averages 10-20k players daily and has been that way for LONG before the rework took place. The last time Hunt had 2k players was in 2019.

Hmmm, steamcharts determined that was a lie. It didn't build traction to have an Avg playerbase of 10k+ until the middle of 2021. So 2018, all the way to 2025, and the game has on avg, 16k players daily. With an avg ownerbase of around 14m, that's not exactly good numbers for a pvp game.

I did post my concern about cheaters. A shame that you didn't read my thread past the title. You must be very smart.

Personally I think it would be silly not to just do both modes. You get the PvPvE audience AND the Coop PvE audience. It's not like the bones aren't already there for PvE anyways. It started that way.

PvE'ers apparently don't buy skins, is what people seem to come to the consensus of. Yet SoT's as survived specifically, because of the skins lol.
I don't generally like extraction shooters, but this is the first game that I've enjoyed watching anyone play. Looking forward to getting my ass handed to me....

How? I don't get it, because I watched the same game, probably, and thought it dull and painful to watch.

If anything it kind of annoys me seeing people act like the game's the new greatest game ever made, when all I see is "Yet another Extraction Game"...
