voice chat enabled but mic crossed out

i read on reddit that quite some folks have the same problem: voice chat is enabled but the mic when i push B is crossed out. Am i missing something?

I found how to solve that for me (mic is working fine in all but i get the yellow barred thingy when toggleing proximity chat) :
In your system settings, there is a search bar. Search for "Authorisation microphone" or whatever the language you have.
Then I added (toggle the thing on) Steam + XBox and it finaly worked ingame for me (you need to restart game just in case).
I'm on PC, so i guess only the Steam one is needed.

hmmmm... AI gave the same recommendation i have however Microphone acces on, aswell as allow apps access and allow desktop-apps under which is steam on and it dont work. Mic is crossed out...

also in recent activities it shows zero requests. (havent used the mic in no other instances in recent times)

Same issue it worked fine last night but today I can't say anything or hear any teammates, it's all Xed out speaker icons

I shut down then powered on my PC and the voices are back!

i restarted one more time after that and now its been working all day

they really need to fix the voice chat issue for a team game no coms is crazy

Small tip to anyone reading. There's a multitude of people saying "x worked for me."
But it's been tested and proven it's just completely random if it will work or not when you restart your machine.

Have to wait for devs to fix it.

"Keep restarting until it works" is not a solution. Devs need to figure this out. Being completely unable to quickly communicate will kill this game and I desperately do not want that to happen.
