ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders

Regional price for Arc Raiders
I really want to see a regional price for Arc Raiders. It's a great-looking game, and I'm excited to play it, but the current "expected" price is just too high for me and many players in my region. A regional price adjustment would make it more accessible and help more players join in.

By the way, the PvP aspect of the game looks really good!
opinion discarded if you say otherwise.

They'll probably announce it on Friday/Saturday next week. Let's all pray and hope they charge 50-70 bucks.

Worst case, they'll do it for 40 or less, or even for free. And that would open the door to all sorts of hackers. (see the finals) (or smurfs like in marvel rivals, dota 2 and so on)

i hope they will charge at least 60 bucks
60 bucks equal:

60 EUR
65 USD
5.500 RUB ~ 1000-1900 Rubel (because russia is extremly poor)
58 CHF

690 SEK
448 DKK
260 PLN
1475 CZK
23300 HUF

True, but they've clearly stated that they'll get rid of the hackers when 1.0 comes out (this year on Steam). Right now, they don't care, and they don't care what many people think. They're currently making money by selling hacking tools to kids. there a lot of speculation about this. i dont know the truth yet. but they made a promise to all of us EFT gamers

What utter nonsense, the price you’re mentioning is way too high for most players, especially in regions with lower average incomes. Many games are priced around $20–30 regionally, and they still manage to be successful and popular. Hackers are always an issue no matter the price, and good developers can handle them by banning or updating their security. High prices don’t really stop hackers but they definitely limit the number of honest players who can afford to join in.

there is nothing nonsense about Purchasing power parities. keep this always in mind.

but too cheap is always a bad idea, even for a concert of your favourite band. too many people would arrive at the same time
and for a game like Arc Raiders, honest people will buy it sooner or later in a sale. and that s good thing. imagine everyone would go online for launch. servers would crash.

hope it helped you to understand a little bit better.

(so if you have no income or live in a country that does not care about you, you probably are able to wait for sale)

and making the game free would end up in an desaster.
we all saw it at marvel rivals and dota 2. in a free or cheap game people start creatinv smurf accounts and if a hacker get banned. he can create another account.

as you can see if you talk about some reagions. steam already has special prices for specific regions. some publisher only charge 1000 rubel for a 60 euro game as example.

Dude... Just watch this please - https://youtu.be/pLC_zZ5fqFk :er_heart:
ok great good old gabe. did you know that like private television shows and latest netflix allow people to hack into their software to watch for free til they patch it? make people addicted and they will buy for good stuff. once steam was becoming big because of one game that you could play through piracy even on mp? these days are over. today people rather pay for cosmetics in game and in the end they spend so much more as just a base price. here the base price is neseary to avoid smurfs and hackers. dont know what you want to tell us with this clip from not just 15 years ago. this interview is much older. like 18 years. do you know what game it was that made steam great and was playable with an illegal access opened by steam but not saying? dont google. you should know. but anyway if you want to pirace arc raiders (i assume thats what you want to say because you dont like the price. good luck go for it. its on embarks side. you have to logg in there to play online)

I'll tell you a secret, but piracy is also evolving and adapting. Knowing the ways, you can also play multiplayer games for free.
Well, the point was not only piracy, but also that the publisher must correctly adapt the price of their product to the regions.

I'm Russian, but dude, it would be super cool if in Russia games for $60 would cost 1000-1900 rubles, as you said. But unfortunately $60 is ~3500 rubles at the regional price, $40 is ~2500 rubles, $30 is ~1600 rubles
As an Egyptian, I’ve been thinking about how game prices should reflect local incomes. If we consider that the average monthly salary in the US is around $4,500 while in Egypt it’s closer to $300, then to make a $40 game in the US equally affordable in Egypt, we use the salary ratio ($300/$4,500), giving an Egyptian price of about $2.67. So technically, if we adjust the price to match local income, the game should cost only around $2.67 in Egypt to be as accessible as it is in the US.

However, I personally don’t mind if the game is $10 in Egypt instead, I just think it’s important for prices to be fair and reflect local economies.

Honestly, anyone saying the game should be $60 worldwide without having regional fair prices is talking absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that price is totally outrageous and doesn’t respect local realities.

This post is about regional prices and you still joined the convo talking about worldwide prices (60$). I don't care about worldwide prices even if I can afford them I wouldn't buy them because they did not offer a fair price.
