Scared of PvP!?

What's with everyone who says this is always a private account? Also, is this like a genuine question or a clown farmer's take?

No, nobody is scared of PvP. People just want to play the version of the game that was first announced, which was PvE. And for myself, I've played tons of PvEvP/Extraction games and modes; guess what? This genre fails every time.

Escape From Tarkov, despite the hackers and the CEO being dumb af, the game is still the best in the genre. Also, it's supposed to go into 1.0 later this year and possibly come to Steam. Then there's Hunt Showdown, and despite Crytek's incompetence, it's still at the top for what it does. HUNGER might be able to take its place, but they gotta try hard af in Early Access to do so. Outside of those two games, every other game and mode in this genre is terrible. Do people actually get excited by new games in this genre?

As much as I thought this recent test was drastically better than the one years ago, it still doesn't give a reason why it's PvP-focused. Like, what's the point? It doesn't even do the genre well to the point that it might as well just be a PvE game like it was supposed to be, or make it a PvP multiplayer shooter, not an Extraction game. The parts of the game that put it in the genre are legit pointless and just thrown in to be thrown in.



SIDE NOTE: Played Arena Breakout Infinite for the first time recently and yeah, that game is also really bad. I question why I even bother playing these games when the people making them don't even care to try.

Well, the game announced its change publicly years ago. Its time to move on friend. The game now is heavily built around PVP. It is what it is.

Even tho its not, like I said, it barely can do the extraction genre systems that well. It has the bare minimum and does nothing with it which is why I question why they even bothered doing the switch. Either make a true PvP game or just do PvE like it was supposed to be and have PvP as a bonus.

The sound design is direct proof that everything in this game surrounds the threat of pvp. Furthermore, you get downed in the freaking tutorial. If anyone is doing mental gymnastics its the PVE only crowd. TBH there is no point in having a rational conversation with these people they are just salty for whatever reason. Who cares.

Did you play the game, outside of the occasional player that will spawn not that far from you the game is barely a PvP game. Unless you consider people sitting at extract points as good PvP game then idk what to say to that. Also the stuff you extract with is kinda pointless same to like most of the games/modes in the genre.

So.. it's just more casual then? Just because it's not built for a more competitive environment doesn't just magically make it not PvP ya know? Fortnite being 3rd person where you can't aim down sights on most guns (I think? never touched the game personally) doesn't magically make it not PvP. It just means Player vs Player man, ya sound silly saying things like this. You can think that 3rd person isn't nearly as skillful for PvP as 1st person, but tryna spin that as mental gymnastics is some crazy mental gymnastics. I don't think a more approachable, casual extraction shooter is a bad thing

I get everyone can have different experiences with the same game, but damn man were we playing the same game? I certainly had a couple rounds where I'd wander around a bit and not get into a single fight, but then I've also had incredibly heated rounds with multiple fights in both solo and squads. Which happened significantly more when going to more high value locations. Of course if I stuck to the edges the chances of me encountering someone was significantly lower

And another thing that I ain't going to deny is possible and probably does exist given the genre but I barely experienced exit camping. I had maybe one or two encounters where a team or player attacked me at the extract, but it was never right as I walked up so honestly I could probably just chalk it up to them showing up after me. This ain't directed to your in particular, but I always feel so odd seeing so many posts or comments going on and on about getting bodied by extract campers again and again when that was the exact opposite of my experience
