ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders

ARC Withdrawal
I search Twitter every 10 minutes for new tweets from other raiders, I've watched every trailer multiple times, I keep gameplay on in the background, I adopted a chicken just to hear Scrappy again, I can't keep doing this. I feel numb without my beloved ARC Raiders. I need it. We need it.

I refuse to attend any ARC Anonymous meetings. Only Embark can save me.

Same, not every 10 minutes but few times everyday. The withdrawal is real. Hang in there raider. Hopefully we can grind again soon.
I am also addicted. I have made a step by step plan for when the game launches. With all the new players the people in the playtest should have a huge advantage, at least for a day or two.

You are admitting you have a problem, that's the first step.

You must stand up and say "my name is Acez and I'm an Arcaholic".
My name is Kyuu and I'm an Arcaholic. Whenever I think about ARC Raiders, it feels like the moment is always NOW, and in every dream, I find myself doing my best to hide from the relentless drones. I think this way my subconscious is training me for the real deal. It was pretty easy to adjust since apocalyptic dreams are my most often recurring ones.

But then again... Since coming back to Speranza I have had hard time to adjust to the reality. Everyone is growing shiny mushrooms, playing with rubber ducks, or training their rooster with scraps. It seems that the big news about us Raiders coming back to the surface and returning with goods has already faded away. Only when passing some of you in a hall, and a quick nod - that is all that's left after our last adventure.

Life went on. Everything around us seems pretty much the same, but we, Raiders are not the same. We are reliving every encounter, every loss and every tough victory. Our new scars are a reminder, that this moment that we are experiencing is not a peace. It's just a short break in our constant war with mad machines, and... with our dark nature as humans. On the surface there are no man-made cameras, and all crime is forgiven for the sake of materials. For a bigger purpose, they say.

There are different rules on the surface, and to be precise there is only one rule: survive and bring as much scrap as possible. But thinking back, I don't really remember the biggest loots, or the most valuable items. What stuck in my head were the interactions between other Raiders, and how some greed can quickly turn a friend into a foe.

I still hear the hum of ARC... I know they are scanning undergrounds and waiting for us. What they don't know is we are waiting for them. This time more hungry than ever.

I applaud your acknowledgement.

Unfortunately, as an Arcaholic your only option is abstinence.

I refuse to accept that.
