ARC Raiders

What do you think about this game compared to Hunt and Tarkov?
All 3 games have stupid things that taint all the good things, but I guess that's the new industry standard. Never again a perfect game. But, IMO, Hunt became too easygoing and Tarkov has stress and intensive situations often, whereas Arc Raiders seems to have found a middle ground in this emotional scale.

What do you guys think?

But, for Arc Raiders to become perfect, IMO, Embark needs to do these small things:
• When you shoot an enemy hitting their shield, which shows up in the blue color, make that color reflect the color of the shield they're using.
• Balance the Torrente e others like it. Having 70 rounds, insane RPM, good accuracy at medium and close range and the gun never heats up is just mindboggling. This has no place in the game. It casts a huge shadow over everything else in the game. And this game has TONS of interesting and funs weapons, but all pale in comparison.
• Story and interesting and engaging quests to give us a meaningful purpose instead of what we saw in the Tech Test 2 that was just "go loot this" quests and yet another PvP encounter that was getting kinda old already because it was fights without purpose.

I absolutely love it.

- 3PP was an absolute no-go for me at first but it kinda grew on me and I think it is a fine
decision for this game.

- Sound design is outstanding.

- I love the AI, How they interact with each other, move through terrain and react to impact.
This is the first extraction game I played with meaningful PvE that enriches the whole
experience.

Will be my game of the year. It hits all the right spots.

Right on. The PvP was so satisfying. No other PvPvE game managed it like Arc Raiders. Although I felt without the option to be free and enjoye the PvE because it attracts PvP. The only way I found to do PvE safely, as a solo, was to wait for the 15min mark and find bots on the edges of the map.

I already dread trying to solo the Queen for the core.

That one is probably not possible solo as it requires a massive damange output in order to kill it. I almost killed the Bastion by myself, but I ran out of time after destroying all of its legs. There's probably an optimal way of going about it, but I didn't have the time to figure it out. I got a key on the last 2 couple of days and I was experimenting with other stuff like PvP, geras and quests besides this.
I prefer this over both. Hunt and Tarkov have gone downhill over the years as is typical. Hunt especially is just terrible now

Yeah. They took away the Quick Swap, but players with a dot software can still kinda do it. They added tons of spammy weapons and stupid magic traits to make the game easier and watered down for complete noobs. Not to mention that they nerf things based on how much a weapon is used. Ridiculous thinking.

Yeah. I've seen many like this. They love Tarkov, but it's too hard.

I'm not sure. I haven't used it and it wasn't used it against me throught the test. I know from watching 2 videos that you need to hit a weak spot on top of the Queen once she is about to fire. I'm not sure how effective it would be on non-weak spots.

its not milsim so its instantly 10x better than tarkov

I think being able to craft everything is probably one of the major reasons why everyone loves this game so much. All the useless junk you find is extremely useful in comparison to every other extraction shooter. Hell I literally used the steam search with the tags "extraction shooter" and "crafting" and the only thing I saw was ghost of tabor and this game alongside a bunch of unreleased slop

Yeah. I haven't tested it myself, but I discovered later that you can recycle things on the fly and bundle up the loot in your inventory. So getting to know what turns into what might be useful instead of just disregarding stuff you don't need as it happens in others games of the genre.

ARC Raiders feels light compared to the others mentioned. The other games are stressful to play. ARC Raiders is the way you play it. You can seek out fights, or you can go alone and avoid everything. It's nice and chill. Losing doesn't feel bad like it does in other games, because you can win again quickly. In Hunt or Tarkov, you have losing streaks. I didn't have that in ARC Raiders. PVP is more fun, too... somehow.
