ARC Raiders

A Whale Hunt Game for Streamers and Cheaters... again!
As we know today, there's often no difference between the two. When this game was announced as a co-op/PvE game, I was so excited. Finally, to get some variety from Space Marine2, Helldivers 2, and all the other classic coop games. Then came the news that this studio, like so many others, had foolishly decided to create another playground for streamers and cheaters, where they'll probably just farm whales with premium cosmetics. In other words, all regular players will serve as extras, or rather, victims.

Similar to what's taught in the following seminar...

Here's an example of the extreme cheater problem in such games...

Welcome to gaming in 2025, we hope you enjoy your stay, you made a good decision... not!

I also love PvP, but these days those games get swarmed by cheaters nearly instantly :-/

Not to mention that the developers of such games only listen to streamer feedback...

As a normal player, you are just a victim here, one or the other way :_(
I think even the switch from PvE/co-op to PvP/PvE co-op is a marketing ploy. First, you hype up all the people who like PvE (like Helldivers). Then you quickly change it to a PvP to win over both camps as customers. After that, you siphon off the whales with the in-game shop, and the other players serve as cannon fodder for the whales and cheaters. If you then give the cheat developers the code to develop undetectable cheats that they then sell for 100+ a month, you'll definitely make a lot of money. I'm not saying they do, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of these studios (EA, Activision, etc.)...

Yeah, sounds exactly like what a money-hungry, endlessly greedy marketing freak would come up with. That's the answer to the question of how to become a millionaire ;-)

After watching the videos above, this is really what makes the most sense, unfortunately :-/
