Marathon gameplay is a huge letdown... but the cinematic is amazing.

They seem slightly different in their approach and I think ultimately while there will be overlap in playerbases they both can exist. Arc seems more grounded while Marathon seems to apply the extraction game mode into an Apex-like format.

I'm excited for both, but unfortunately i didn't get the code for marathon... hopefully arc raiders is more generous and gave me one

errm. yeah except Marathon looks.. well... The playtests I've seen on twitch of it look boring and quite stale. Probably a taste thing but yeah wasn't blown away at all.

This is not the only problem. When I created the discussion, I thought that Marathon would be competitive and even more. But after watching the streams, I was convinced that Concord 2 awaits us. All this colorful style, which looks cool in a cinematic trailer for 8 minutes, but is absolutely terrible when you play it. Plus, the game is somehow too fast for this genre, and the feeling of SURVIVAL and imminent danger is completely absent.

In general, ARC Raiders is not in any danger. In any case, definitely not from Marathon
