Extraction shooters are niche at best. The stats don't lie. Look at player numbers for PvP extraction shooters compared to PvE looter shooters (that might have a separate PvP mode like Destiny 2 and that game is trash now). The numbers don't lie.
The simple fact is the extraction shooter players will go back to Tarkov (even though its riddled with hackers) due to it being closer to a military sim in terms of its play style (more realistic). Helldivers is already covering the coop third person action shooter genre and players will just go back to it after trying Arc Raiders. Then there's actually looter shooters that will keep their player base due to their being no real competition now.
It's just a bad business decision and I feel sorry for the devs that worked hard on this game. It's the same studio that made the Finals and even that game which was match based PvP didn't do well. It's just dumb that changed genre before even getting into Early Access and see what the feedback is like. One bad decision always leads to another.
I watched the video and 1:54 in
Seems like a pretty damn good extraction game from what I've played over this weekend. I was quite impressed with the preview just about everything about it from the overall gameplay and the design to the visuals the animations and even the games performance. Everything had a high degree of quality and polish across the board. I mean I really enjoyed no I even had a blast playing this game over the past couple of days during this test and this has convinced me that I will certainly be playing it once again
the atmosphere should be: nothing nothing silence BOOM SHOT, not constant skirmish.
