here is my PC configuration, and honnestly i think it's descent...
NVIDIA Ge force GTX 960M
pilot version:546.01
intel(R) core (TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60Hz
16GB RAM
1920x1080 60 HZ
i think it's enough to run the game i think,i mean yeah sure my CPU is kind of medium, but normaly it should be able to run the game...
So with your current specs, it is at an end of date of service CPU which Intel will no longer support for since last year. but does not mean you cannot use it to this day. It is Intel's Skylake family which is the 6th gen Intel for a mobile CPU. It has at least, remaining amount for that hardware may be a couple of more years until Windows 10 expires by Jul 29, 2015 -Oct 14, 2025. It is going to struggle with this game, that is for certain. I am sure the intro was OK of course. Just once that map became largely populated with objects, not surprised what is happening with a lack of optimization with this game's current state. Just to clarify, it has issues with modern GPUs as well. I can run the game but GPU usage fluctuates so I can only imagine it will get worse. I think I have decreased this from High to Medium graphic settings the last time I played.
I say your laptop is going to struggle for certain at the forest, even my Intel 11th gen i7-11700 with 32GB of RAM with an RTX 4070 which my GPU was being used heavily when I started at the forest. Hence why I toned it down a little more the graphics settings.
So, the current specs I see here, it will struggle with the game as you progress further. Even when I tweaked graphics and lowered resolutions, for some reason it was not much difference quite yet. Though I try to get a stable 50-60 FPS to clarify, since I don't like screen tearing.
Hopefully the devs will fix this PC version some more but I only seen one update so far. So I keep my expectations very low between null.
This sentence written as it is makes no sense. Adaptive vsync, triple buffering, gsync, manual frame limiting...these are all things that can delete screen tearing, doesn't matter what framerate (as long as it's lower than your maximum refreshrate). Don't blame the game for things you might have not set properly. If you want you can tell me more details (refresh rate and monitor tech helps pointing to the issue), it seems to me at least one of the things listed above might not be clear to you (no offense, and I know it can sound harsh but I am honestly trying to explain it)
Forest was stuck at 90fps (my preferred manually set framerate, on 180Hz screen) for me on max details and 4080. The last chapter with the house (inside the house) went down towards the 60
Take a deep breath there. No need to be tangent over strangers on the internet that you think are incompetent.
That explains it.
You seem to be incompetent because you wrote a sentence that makes no sense (the cutting down the framerate to avoid screen tearing) and I was trying to help. Just like the original poster who asks for the game to be "more optimized" while he has a super old and weak setup (I also said in his defense the developer set absurd minimum requirements in the steam store page). I also tried to say it nicely and to help people who might not have set things properly but all I get is clowns and chickens.
I guess you do you, I do me. The game has absolutely no issues. With "that explains it" I have no idea what you meant. Yes the last chapter is the heavier.
Okay. I will try not to be so tired and review my sentences next time. How your responses are stated has to be taken with a grain of salt.
oh sorry my bad mister,i do not really have the money to buy a a computer comming from the NASA...
more seriousely tho, dude i'm incompetent??dude my computer is like 6 or 7 years old,and you've seen my PC configuration,it's a pretty descent PC to run like 85% of the game on the market...
so dude i would apreciate that you don't call me incompetent,it's not my fault if the game is not playable for the majority of the players...
