Also does playing on Ishin still gives achievement for completing game on legend?
Also, I finished on Legend BUT unfortunately I had to use "temporary revert" on Easy which probably blocks achievement for Legend difficulty.
This is especially needed In Ishin mode where it can be extremely tough just to finish chapter 1 without having 300 attack and most non-special movesets unlocked for at least one style. This is what they mean with the warning about being intended for players with previous clear data.
Luckily, they precisely designed the starting area to let you rapidly springboard a new build up to rank 9 as though you'd just speed ran the game on Easy mode (minus the loot and swag).
As long as you can reliably hit "Godly" in fights then you can get your stats to where they need to be on a fresh save file in minutes
If not, then you need to practice with the combat system anyway before attempting the higher difficulty settings so you might as well spend time doing an 80's training montage.
edit: and if it's defense you're struggling with, I'd highly recommend wild dancer as your starting school. It doesn't have the highest damage output but it's basically immortal once you get two orbs past rank 9.
So I would be grateful if someone who finished on Legend on first playthrough confirms.
I get you although I'm pretty sure you'll have to clear it on Ishin anyway to get a completionist and I'm 99.999% certain that lowering the diff cancels out all diff based achievements except "Cleared the game on easy mode".
That's the way it's always worked in the past anyway.
Ishin difficulty is inspired probably from North Star game(i'm not sure but there was Canon difficulty as 5th most difficult).
But welp, someone has to prove. It may be a bug because of this changes for Legend and Ishin for removing no checkpoint penalty and grantint these difficulties from the start.
I hear what you're saying and at this point I could probably rush to the end on my current Ishin run to tell you but I mean... don't get your hopes up too far lol.
They've never had a game in the series yet that let you get the achievement for beating the game on a high difficulty without actually doing it. You never know though so good luck!
Maybe someone with a trainer can tell us in the meantime.
"This trophy is awarded for completing the game on Legend difficulty. Unlike prior games, Legend difficulty is available to select from the start. But like Yakuza 6, you can also earn the trophy just by changing to Legend difficulty right at the end of the game, only requiring you to complete the final combat section and final bosses on Legend."
Ok, thanks for trying to help. I see, I know what to do.
Well, time to grind other achievements.
Right which means you can't just switch the game to easy when it gives you the prompt as you've been doing.
I suppose you can always get up to there by doing so but it's the hardest part of the game so if you can't make it there with out nerfing enemies then it's going to be an interesting time for you lol. Definitely doable though.
Plus there's, you know, the pride thing. You do you though and again, good luck!
