are there female characters you are able to romance?

I just started the game, and did stuff that according to my friend should have unlocked a few achievements. I finished the first 2 fragments, and applied the Nostalgia Filter. But no achievements came up. Anyone know why?

It's probably a stupid question, but I just want to make sure.
